Rebecca “Ricki” Kaneti

Founder and President, Colonial Assisted Living

Ricki Kaneti is the founder of Colonial Assisted Living, a chain of assisted living communities in south Florida focused on affordable senior living. Ricki brings an abundance of business development and leadership advancement skills.

As one of Florida’s leading female owner/operators, she has managed to create success stories by building great teams of people at each of the communities that she and her team undertook.

Ricki’s interest for long-term care developed at an early stage in her life. As a third-generation of assisted living operators in her family; she has built upon the passions that her mother and grandmother had started some 50 years ago. Ricki’s own passion and track record are displayed in operations, industry business development, and regulatory guidelines within her field. Ricki Kaneti has become an authoritative body in south Florida when it comes to affordable assisted living as she operates a portfolio of several seniors communities through the Colonial Assisted Living brand, managing some 300 staff and vendors in the southeast Florida region. In earlier years Ms. Kaneti served as operations manager and executive vice president of business development for Wellscripts Pharmacy and was instrumental in their sale to a public company in 2006.

Kenneth Soloway

VP, Colonial Assisted Living
Ken Soloway has advanced from senior development manager with Colonial Assisted Living in 2014 to VP in 2020.

Ken has been instrumental within the organization, bringing a wide variety of skills to the table including IT development, design automation and market development augmentation.

He has brought a genuine sense of culture and appreciation to the 200-plus employees at Colonial Assisted Living. In addition to being an experienced professional with an incredible amount of healthcare and senior living knowledge, Ken is also highly skilled with nonprofits. His past positions include emergency management and organizational leadership alongside business development, at a large NY- based not-for-profit organization.

Dmitriy Shirganov

Colonial Assisted Living EVP

Dmitriy has been with Colonial Assisted Living group since 2012. He started his career as a staff accountant at the company and climbed to corporate controller. Dmitriy brings a strong work ethic and a willingness to get things done with a “whatever it takes” attitude.

He is instrumental with systems, processes, and automation. Dmitriy’s accounting controls have helped drive efficiency and operational excellence at Colonial Assisted Living. He is presently compiling new ways to support the organization’s growth and scalability.

Linda Horvath

Regional Director of Operations, Colonial Assisted Living

Linda is a highly competent and seasoned assisted living operator with over 25 years of direct supervisory experience working with senior communities in the Florida and Michigan markets. She is responsible for providing support for executives and middle managers at dozens of assisted living communities.

Prior to joining Colonial Assisted Living, Linda focused on oversight and compliance turnaround for regulatory challenged facilities. Linda’s senior housing experience encompasses support of all aspects in operations, driving census, ensuring compliance, and maintaining budgetary guidelines. She works as a change agent to support teams through use of visionary leadership. Her recent roles at larger companies prior to joining the Colonial family were with Milestone Retirement, Emeritus and Mission Health of Georgia. In her earlier career, she worked at Atria Senior Living and Sunrise for a combined 10 years, leading executive directors and as a recognized leader at both communities.

Oren Gershon

Strategy Development and IT
Oren is instrumental with operational processes and technology development to articulate corporate vision and strategies for Colonial Assisted Living.

He has helped the organization tremendously through working closely with C-Suite executives in aligning Colonial’s aspirational strategies into actionable plans. Oren executes business transformation projects with measurable results. He has a proven history of success establishing structure in aspects of the enterprise with previously undefined processes and working with subject matter experts to implement practical guidelines for operational discipline and governance. He has an uncanny ability to apply creative problem-solving and effective collaboration skills to a diverse set of business challenges and corporate environments, adapting quickly to shifting management priorities. He focuses not only on driving one-time executions of a broad portfolio of concurrent projects, but also on creating a culture of continuous improvement.
